Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Squo mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. Squo is operated by Squo ("we", "us", or "our").

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Squo. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Account Registration

To use Squo, you must create an account using your phone number via SMS OTP verification. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your profile information current.

4. Location Services

Squo relies on location services to provide its core functionality, including geofence-based presence detection. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your location data as described in our Privacy Policy. You can disable location services at any time through your device settings, but this will significantly limit the App's functionality.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or to promote illegal activities
• Harass, abuse, stalk, or threaten other users
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity
• Share another person's location without their consent
• Attempt to circumvent security features, including geofence verification
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the App
• Upload malicious content, spam, or unsolicited messages
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure

6. Content

You retain ownership of content you post through Squo, including messages, photos, and moments. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the App. Moments (stories) are ephemeral and expire after 24 hours.

7. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information, including location data.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by Squo and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App without our written permission.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any reason at our sole discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings. Upon deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy of location data or the availability of the service. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, unauthorized access, or service interruptions.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Squo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, regardless of the cause of action or the theory of liability. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by other means. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
